Photography means writing with light. But what does happen when you write with darkness or non-light, at the very moment when the boundry between the tangible and invisible worlds gets blurred?
It all started one night, in a forest, when I tried to light my way using the photo camera instead of a lantern. I couldn’t discern one thing, so I decided to guide myself according to the photograph I just took seconds ago.
The result was stunning - strange shapes and lines, large colorful pixels, blurred volumes looking like 19th century photographs with a digital touch…

All photographs are 200×130 cm, printed using Ultragiclee Technology in limited editions of 5 prints each.
In perioada 3-13 noiembrie 2009 PHOTON iti ofera primul workshop destinat prelucrarii digitale a imaginii.
Workshopul este adresat incepatorilor si persoanelor care doresc o familiarizare cu mediul digital de prelucrare a imaginii, precum si cu alte notiuni adiacente (calibrare, proof, conversii raw/jpeg si altele…). Accentul va fi pus pe prelucrarea imaginilor in Adobe Photoshop si Adobe Lightroom.
Cursul este sustinut de Vlad Plaiasu in colaborare cu Vlad Petri.
Numarul participantilor este limitat la 10.
Prezentarea programelor de editare se va face pe videoproiector. In paralel, pentru calibrare se va lucra pe un monitor LaCie 324 de 24″ cu hardware calibrator si hood. Exercitiile practice se vor realiza pe Canon 5D MK2 si lumini (blitzuri de studio) Elinchrom.
